EMMAUS NORGE

Emmaus Retreat is a 48-hour Catholic retreat organized under the Diocese of Oslo and created by lay people for lay people. Inspired by the biblical passage of the Road to Emmaus, it is a time to step away from daily life and open your heart to a personal encounter with Christ.

During the retreat, participants disconnect completely from the outside world: no phones, no internet, and no watches. This helps create a space of silence, presence, reflection, prayer, and authentic human connection.

Emmaus is not simply a weekend away, but an experience of faith, renewal, and community. Through talks, prayer, silence, music, and shared moments, participants are invited to rediscover God’s love and presence in their lives in a deep and personal way.

Rooted in the Catholic tradition and supported by the Diocese of Oslo, the Emmaus Retreat offers a welcoming environment for adults who wish to grow spiritually, reflect on their lives, and walk, like the disciples on the road to Emmaus, from confusion and burden toward hope, clarity, and joy.
